CDG SHIRT

Launched in 1988 by Rei Kawakubo, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT explores the possibilities of one of fashion’s most familiar wardrobe staples—the shirt. Built around the idea of reinterpreting everyday clothing, the line brings a playful and experimental approach to classic menswear through unexpected proportions, bold colour combinations, graphic prints, patchwork and innovative fabric constructions. Over the years, the collection has expanded beyond shirting to include knitwear, jackets, trousers and casual essentials, while retaining its distinctive balance of functionality and creative expression. More accessible and light-hearted than the avant-garde mainline, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT embodies the house’s unconventional spirit through intelligent details, surprising contrasts and an unmistakably contemporary attitude.
