Archivio J.M. Ribot aims to give new life to objects that hold memories from the past. It is a research-based clothing project that comprises two distinct collections. The first collection, Riforma, features unique pieces that are made by combining antique clothing items from the early 1900s. The second collection, Archivio, includes limited-edition garments that are made using ancient fabrics collected from a textile archive over the years. The project challenges traditional clothing conventions and demonstrates a strong commitment to craftsmanship. Archivio employs exceptional technical skills to transform and repurpose garments, resulting in a contemporary and modern aesthetic while still preserving the historical and tactile significance of the original textiles.
